After leaving school and studying Graphic Arts, Daniel moved into sign design/manufacturing learning the essentials of placement and spacing of image and text. After several years in this field, Daniel embarked on a career in music working with EMI/Virgin Records, which enabled him to get involved in the creative process of writing music whilst creating an accompanying visual, in the form of illustration and moving image. As Daniel’s obsession with visual creativity increased, more of his focus and energy has been channelled into responding to eclectic references and moving towards a unique and recognisable style.
Colour of Music is Daniel's latest creative venture.

My work is rooted in my childhood experiences growing up in rural Herefordshire. This left an enduring interest in the natural world and storytelling, which has inspired my illustration work.
Much of my creative life has been responding the varied needs of the competitive and commercial worlds of publishing and advertising, with a varied client list of established companies. I also enjoy working within the performing arts. Working with Horse and Bamboo theatre and others over the last few years has allowed me to extend my creative work into mask work, 3D modelling and prop making.
